DR Congo signs deal with France’s nuclear power body

The French state-owned nuclear power provider Areva has signed a deal with the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo on ‘‘nationwide uranium exploration’’.

The French state-owned nuclear power provider Areva has signed a deal with the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo on ‘‘nationwide uranium exploration’’.

The company’s head, Anne Lauvergeon, made the announcement when she met president Nicolas Sarkozy during his African tour last week.
