DPP rejects one-third of child porn cases referred

Gardai identified more than 200 suspects as being linked to child pornography in Ireland between 2000 and 2004, according to new research.

However, more than one-third of cases referred by gardai to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) resulted in a direction that no prosecution be taken due to a lack of evidence.
