Even though the taps have dried up for most beers during the recession, Guinness sales have risen sharply – so much so that stout lovers may see another Arthur’s Day far sooner than expected
Guinness has had its fair share of troubles over the past few years, with sales falling in Ireland and the brand seeming to lose its sparkle.
Ad campaigns didn’t seem to hit the right note and, at a time when business was booming in this country, one of our oldest brands wasn’t able to capitalise on the affluence.
But as the extra money disappears from our pockets, Guinness is once again...
