Shares in Vodafone fell 2 per cent as it was downgraded by an equity analyst at at Sanford Bernstein.

Recent regulatory developments in the telco sector have favored large integrated telcos and made life harder for Vodafone, Bernstein says. Heightened operational risks may mean Vodafone will struggle to meet its organic service revenue and margin targets this year and next, it said.
