Holidays this year could well be a muted affair for Irish families, as worries about the financial future continue to weigh on people's minds.

However, if you do intend to travel abroad, make sure you shop around and read the small print when taking out travel insurance, to ensure you get a policy that meets your needs and provides adequate cover at the right price.
