Don't shoot the media messenger

Since last December, the media have been restrained by a High Court injunction from reporting on any information or documents emanating from the Mahon Tribunal, except when they are revealed at public sittings of the tribunal.

Since last December, the media have been restrained by a High Court injunction from reporting on any information or documents emanating from the Mahon Tribunal, except when they are revealed at public sittings of the tribunal.

The injunction was removed by the High Court last Tuesday, only to be reinstated on Friday, on the application of the tribunal to the Supreme Court. It now remains in place pending a full hearing of the tribunal's appeal...
