Through the recession the market strategy of selling affordable Irish art without reserve has proved successful for a number of auction houses and as results have shown this year there is a buoyant market for works in the under €2,000 price bracket.

On view over the August Bank Holiday weekend at Ballynahinch Castle, Dolan’s first Connemara sale will offer 150 lots, estimates ranging from €200-€8,000.
