The DNA technology firm Identigen has signed a multi-million euro deal with one of the largest beef processing companies in the United States.

The DNA technology firm Identigen has signed a multimillion euro deal with one of the largest beef processing companies in the United States.

FPL Food, one of the largest privately-held processors of fresh beef products in the US, has signed a contract to incorporate Identigen's DNA-based 'TraceBack' system into its quality assurance and safety controls. Using TraceBack will enable FPL to verify that the beef it processes is 100 per cent traceable to source.
