The directors of troubled Irish mining firm Teknomining said the company remains insolvent after proposals to secure its viability failed to come to fruition.

The directors of troubled Irish mining firm Teknomining said the company remains insolvent after proposals to secure its viability failed to come to fruition.

No candidates have come forward to replace the current directors after they resigned at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in June, according to a statement by company chairman Sean Finlay.

A proposal to that egm by Finlay and his fellow directors to appoint a liquidator to the company was defeated...
