Digital drives ad firm growth

There's been a rise in demand for skills in the areas of customer care and insight work, writes Siobhán Brett.

Marketing budgets for this year are still being tightly managed, but recruitment is taking place and salaries in the field are holding, according to the annual salary survey by Irish agency Alternatives.

PR executives can still expect to earn between €35,000 and €40,000 in-house, a figure which is slightly above that afforded at agency level (€25,000 - €35,000). A number of new roles have been created by digital business, such as gaming.
