Digicel, the telecommunications company chaired by Denis O'Brien, said its revenues rose 16 per cent in the first half of its fiscal year.

The company that operates in 30 markets of the Caribbean, El Salvador and the Pacific said earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation was up 15 per cent year on year to $524 million for the six month period.

Subscribers were up 14 per cent year-on-year to 11.1 million across Digicel’s 30 markets worldwide.
