Digicel boss Denis O’Brien reveals he is ‘very, very happy’ after stopping flotation

Bonds in O’Brien’s company fell by as much as 3.8 per cent in the wake of the dramatic decision

Denis O’Brien has said the decision to stop the flotation of Digicel was the right call and insisted the mobile phone and digital company will be floated when “market conditions are right”.

The planned $2 billion (€1.8bn) flotation in New York was dramatically abandoned last night after markets closed.
