If you're a mobile broadband user, you'll know that speeds can vary significantly around the coverage areas.

In Dublin, for example, the fastest service, O2, hits 2Mbs in Dublin 9 (Drumcondra), but shrinks to under 0.5Mbs in Dublin 2's Harcourt Street.

By comparison, 3 hits more than 1Mbs in Harcourt Street but falls to about 0.6Mbs in Drumcondra on the north side of the city.
