Peugeot is first to the market with a diesel-electric hybrid car, but how does it fare on Irish roads? Shane O' Donoghue reports.

Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4: for what it does over and above the excellent conventional 3008, it's worth the extra money.

Given the tax system in Ireland, it's not surprising that the standard line-up of the Peugeot 3008 features solely diesel engines, and the modest 112hp 1.6-litre HDi engine at that. The most efficient sits in Band B with emissions of 122g/km. The most expensive costs €29,945.
