Diageo has reported growth in third-quarter sales as revenue soared in Latin America and improving sales of higher-priced spirits in the US offset declines in Europe.
Diageo owns Guinness and Baileys and is a major employer in Ireland.
Organic sales growth, which excludes the effect of acquisitions and currency fluctuations, rose 6 per cent in the three months ended March 31st, the company said today. That was ahead of analyst expectations, according to Bloomberg.
