Development land prices triple in less than a year
Rising house prices, increased office values and a shortage of sites have contributed to a sharp rise in development land values in Dublin and to a lesser extent elsewhere, writes Donal Buckley.
Two key sales in recent months suggest that prime Dublin sites are now fetching between Euro 8 million to Euro 10 million per acre, as was reflected in the Euro 20 million plus paid fo- the 2.02 acre former Veterinary College site in the heart of Ballsbridge in Dublin 4. The Jones Lang La Salle brokered deal equates to more than Euro 10 million per acre.
