Design firm sees off international competition to scoop major contract

A small Irish firm has beaten competition from all over Europe for a major design and print contract with Dublin City Council, writes Martha Kearns.

Yellowstone Communication Design won the four-year contract, which was estimated to be worth €8 million when it was first put out to tender in November of last year.

However, Leo Duffy, managing director of Yellowstone, said the contract’s worth had since been ‘‘drastically cut to reflect the severe economic climate’’.
