Derry firm completes €5m Garda uniform contract

Derry company Hunter Apparel has completed work on a €5 million contract to manufacture 10,500 new uniforms for the Garda Siochana.

Derry company Hunter Apparel has completed work on a €5 million contract to manufacture 10,500 new uniforms for the Garda Siochana.

Graham Hunter, managing director of Hunter Apparel, said the contract had involved a huge logistical operation begun last October.

“We had six teams travelling throughout the country taking measurements of every single member,” he said.
