Derry bread company wins €3.2m Tesco deal

Derry company Genesis Breads has won a stg£1.5 million (€3.2m) deal to supply its Crafty range of wheaten breads to 200 Tesco outlets across Britain.

Derry company Genesis Breads has won a stg£1.5 million (€3.2m) deal to supply its Crafty range of wheaten breads to 200 Tesco outlets across Britain. The deal follows a similar €500,000 contract won recently by the company to supply 500 Musgrave-owned outlets in the republic.

Managing director Brian McErlain said the company, which is situated in Magherafelt, expected to create 15 new jobs on the back of the two contracts.
