Dependable Pulsar fails to dazzle

Nissan's latest family hatch is a comfortable ride, but not an exciting one, writes Paul Healy.

Is the Pulsar the ultimate automotive bait-and-switch? Eight years after abandoning the family hatch segment, Nissan is back with the Pulsar, making its Irish debut at the Ploughing Championships in Stradbally recently. Of course, in the intervening years, the Japanese company released the Qashqai, the first commercially successful crossover, and its rivals have scrambled to bring out crossovers of their own to compete.
