The Department of Social Protection is considering outsourcing thousands of medical reviews in relation to welfare claims. A prior information notice published through the government's eTenders website, the public procurement service, indicated that the department was considering "contracting providers of medical services to supplement DSP's existing medical review and assessment service capacity".
