The much-plugged - or over hyped - Irish episode of The Simpsons (Sky 1) shown on St Patrick’s Day was as limp as a day-old sprig of shamrock. T he family’s trip to Ireland didn’t happen until the second part of the half-hour episode (the first part was easily the funnier) and the whole affair seemed to have caught the recently departed zeitgeist of boom rather than the worrying whiff of doom....
