Decision time looms for children's hospital site

The review group has made its recommendations on the best site for the national children's hospital, but which is most likely to succeed and when will the saga end, asks Susan Mitchell.

Some thirty site offers were tabled for the construction of the national children's hospital since An Bord Pleanála scuppered the original plan for the hospital at the end of February.

Farmers have put greenfield sites forward. The Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland put its name to a paper in support of one proposal. The National Asset Management Agency (Nama) is trying to offload some of its development sites. Minister for Transport Leo...
