The death has occurred of Ferdia O'Dowd, The Sunday Business Post's motoring correspondent for many years.
A leading figure in Irish motoring journalism, Ferdia spent the early part of his life working on his family's farm in Clondalkin, west Dublin.
He represented the IFA on the board of An Taisce. He also served as president of the Irish Society of Agronomy and Land Use.
