The Irish Stock Exchange's chief executive Deirdre Somers believes that Irish companies which have de-listed from the exchange could in the future re-list, reversing a trend that has shrunk the exchange in recent years.

This year, the stock exchange lost Grafton Group and DCC, which followed CRH, Greencore and United Drug in recent years to the London Stock Exchange. The combined market capitalisation of the five companies is roughly €18 billion.
