DB Schenker continues to expand in Cork

A substantial investment has been made by DB Schenker Ireland in the Cork market with the acquisition of a 7,853 square metre detached industrial facility at Harbour Point in Cork.

The company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Germany’s Deutsche Bahn AG, focuses on logistics. It was created by the reorganisation and rebranding of Deutsche Bahn subsidiaries and comprises a logistics division encompassing air, land, and sea freight, and a rail division made up from European rail freight companies.

The building it has acquired at Harbour Point was originally developed by Lane Developments.
