Davy management team set to control stockbrokers

Richard Burrows, the governor of Bank of Ireland, had a number of urgent items on the agenda at the meeting of the court of directors in London last Tuesday.

The first item on the agenda was the resignation of businessman Denis O’Brien from his position as deputy governor.

Once out of the way, Burrows moved on to another pressing item - the impending management buyout of Davy Stockbrokers for €300 million.
