Danske Bank Ireland reports pre tax loss of €17.4m

The Irish arm of Danske Bank has reported a pre tax loss of €17.4 million for the second quarter of 2013, up from an €8.8 million loss in the first quarter.

The Irish arm of Danske Bank has reported a pre tax loss of €17.4 million for the second quarter of 2013, up from an €8.8 million loss in the first quarter.

The bank said that its loan impairment charges for the period were €15.4 million for the second quarter, compared with €5.5 million at the end of March. Total income rose to €15.7 million, from 14.6 million in the first quarter.
