Dairygold posts 33% increase in operating profit

Farmer’s co-operative Dairygold posted a 33 per cent increase in operating profit to €27.3 million in 2013 despite paying a leading milk price and €7.5 million in year-end bonuses to milk suppliers and trading customers.

Revenues for the year rose €116 million, or 16 per cent, to over €847 million with earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) rising 19 per cent to €45.4 million.
