Irish dairy companies are missing massive opportunities by not putting adequate resources into winning business in the Chinese market, according to one food industry expert.
Aidan Connolly is vice-president of corporate accounts at the US-Irish animal nutrition and health company Alltech, which has extensive operations in China. He has worked closely with the UCD team which last week signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese dairy producer Dairy United.
