Cycling arena planned for Abbotstown
The government is to build an international cycling stadium as part of the national sports campus at Abbotstown in west Dublin.

Officials from the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism have had meetings in recent months with sporting bodies to discuss possible facilities for the campus.
Following those discussions, the department has drawn up a shortlist of preferred facilities. According to government sources, a velodrome is top of that list and is set to be included in phase two of the project.
