CWU may seek pay increases of up to 3 per cent for members

Employees of An Post and Eircom are likely to seek a pay rise this year, as their union pushes for increases of between 2.5 and 3 per cent.

Employees of An Post and Eircom are likely to seek a pay rise this year, as their union pushes for increases of between 2.5 and 3 per cent.

The Communication Workers Union (CWU) - which will hold its biennial conference in four weeks - also has concerns about 3's potential takeover of 02 Ireland, and the job losses that could ensue. That bid is currently being considered by the competition division of the EU Commission.
