Pharmacists around the country expressed their frustrations at a series of regional meetings about the state of the industry held this month.

One pharmacist who attended a recent meeting in Dublin described the atmosphere in the room as ‘‘charged and emotional’’. Another said: ‘‘If I treated my staff the way the HSE and the minister have treated me, I would be up in front of a tribunal. We have been treated like cornershop hucksters.”...
