CSO: 2.6% increase in trips to Ireland

Inbound trips to Ireland increased by 2.6 per cent, according to the Central Statistics Office. Outbound trips by Irish residents decreased 0.6 per cent.

Inbound travel trips to Ireland increased by 2.6 per cent between December and February compared to the same period 12 months earlier, [according to figures](http://www.cso.ie/en/media/csoie/releasespublications/documents/tourismtravel/2013/overseastraveldecfeb2013.pdf) released by the Central Statistics Office.

The number of trips to Ireland between December 2012 and February 2013 was 1,176,100.
