Talks between the government and its EU bailout partners on the terms of repayment of promissory notes are at a crunch stage, according to Finance Minister Michael Noonan.

Talks between the government and its EU bailout partners on the terms of repayment of promissory notes are at a crunch stage, according to Finance Minister Michael Noonan.

"We're at the point of crunch issues now," he said, in comments reported by Bloomberg News. He repeated that he hoped for a deal by the end of March and that the talks were proceeding "according to plan".
