Politicians can expect to come under intense pressure from the credit union movement in the run-up to the general election, after it emerged that the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU) has planned ‘‘a public affairs and public relations campaign’’ to mount resistance to the inclusion of credit unions in recently enacted emergency legislation.
