The Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU) is launching a political campaign to push back against what it sees as an unfair state policy of forcing banking losses onto the community lenders.
According to senior credit union sources, the ILCU will be stepping up its pressure on TDs in the coming weeks to adjust government policies that favour mortgage lenders over unsecured creditors at a time when credit unions are facing massive sectoral reform.
