A new website for women aims to take on the big players with light-hearted and Irish-focused issues, writes Siobhán Brett.

Light, snappy, off-the-cuff online news is gaining a remarkable Irish following, and few are in a better position to vouch for this than Mayo-born web publisher, Niall McGarry.

Two years after setting up men's website Joe.ie, McGarry is priming to launch a second site, "similarly quirky", but this time for women: Her.ie.
