Coveney upbeat as plans for Greencore take shape

Patrick Coveney, chief executive of Greencore, last week continued to put his stamp on the business he inherited in 2008, announcing a 43p er cent increase in first-half operating profits and demonstrating signs of a company that was getting closer to the shape he wanted.

Coveney, who had cut his teeth in Greencore as its chief financial officer, delivered the type of numbers and financial discipline that accountants treasure.
