Couple consent to being restricted as company directors

A couple who were accused of ‘‘a massive fraud’’ and of using their company ‘‘as their own private resource’’ have been restricted from acting as directors, following the collapse of the business.

A couple who were accused of ‘‘a massive fraud’’ and of using their company ‘‘as their own private resource’’ have been restricted from acting as directors, following the collapse of the business.

Ralph and Charlotte Gervais, who ran Swedex Windows & Doors, consented to the restriction orders as part of a court-approved settlement. The couple also face a financial settlement, thought to be a substantial six-figure sum.
