Dublin City Council spent a total of €5.1 million on apartments at the troubled Priory Hall apartment complex in Donaghmede.

Dublin City Council (DCC) spent a total of €5.1 million on apartments at the troubled Priory Hall apartment complex in Donaghmede, and continued to buy units despite a series of incidents indicating that all was not in order at the scheme.

In June 2008, four months before the local authority purchased the final four of the 27 apartments it bought in total in Priory Hall, DCC itself inspected the site and issued a warning letter...
