Council chief to be quizzed over airport closure
Derry City Council’s chief executive, former GAA All-Star Anthony McGurk, is to be questioned this week about the events which led to the closure of City of Derry Airport for four days in May.
Derry City Council’s chief executive, former GAA All-Star Anthony McGurk, is to be questioned this week about the events which led to the closure of City of Derry Airport for four days in May.
The manager of the council-owned airport, Seamus Devine, was suspended on full pay a fortnight ago.
On Thursday, councillors established a group comprising two former mayors and a former deputy mayor to investigate McGurk’s role.
