In Britain, the marriage of Coronation Street's Deirdre and Ken Barlow won almost twice as many viewers as the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles last weekend.

In Britain, the marriage of Coronation Street's Deirdre and Ken Barlow won almost twice as many viewers as the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles last weekend.

Just over 7 million people tuned in to the royal event, while almost 13 million viewers tuned into ITV on Friday night to watch the Coronation Street episode, in which Ken and Deirdre tied the knot for the second time.

They previously married almost 24 years ago.
