The Irish mergers and acquisitions (M&A) market has shown improved activity in 2011 compared to 2010 and 2009, when recorded activity in Ireland plummeted to a historic low.

The Irish mergers and acquisitions (M&A) market has shown improved activity in 2011 compared to 2010 and 2009, when recorded activity in Ireland plummeted to a historic low.

With deal volumes in 2011 reported to have exceeded €7 billion in value, hopes are already high that 2012 will see another year of marked improvement. The signs are already positive, with transaction activity reportedly strong throughout the opening months of this year.
