Corporate Recovery: Insolvency legislation's new options
Thousands of smaller companies will be able to restructure and recover, writes David Boland.
Personal insolvency legislation may be a difficult pill for many to swallow but, like any medicine, it is designed to make things better.
What many commentators overlook, however, is that the legislation will not simply benefit people who have found themselves drowning in unsustainable personal debt. It will also aid the Irish economy by offering a mechanism for restructure for thousands of smaller companies which have to date been excluded from the recovery process.
