Corporate enforcer seeks accountant’s disqualification over Ansbacher scheme
The Director of Corporate Enforcement has launched legal proceedings against a Dublin accountant over his involvement in the Ansbacher tax-evasion scheme.

The Director of Corporate Enforcement has launched legal proceedings against a Dublin accountant over his involvement in the Ansbacher tax-evasion scheme.
Paul Appleby is pursuing Jack Stakelum, a former accountant with Haughey Boland, in the High Court. Initial documents have been lodged with the court and the case is due to be heard shortly.
Appleby is asking the High Court to disqualify Stakelum from acting as a company director for up to five years.
