Cork show will feature precious metals a-plenty

Four centuries of Cork gold and silver will be celebrated at Airgeadoir, an exhibition which opens at the Crawford Gallery on April 16.

Sponsored by the Bowen Group and curated by PeterMurray, it will comprise 250 different pieces showcasing the work ofover 50 silversmiths. Domestic items will include everything from soup tureens to sugar bowls, tea caddies to mustard pots, styles progressing from the simplicity of the 1600s to the exuberance of the 18th century, and...
