A Cork mobile phone company is at the centre of a €35 million international Vat carousel fraud that has been probed by authorities across Europe.

A Cork mobile phone company is at the centre of a €35 million international Vat carousel fraud that has been probed by authorities across Europe.

Lee View Communications, which had its headquarters in Cork city, was used by British businessmen to shield tens of millions of euro from the British Customs & Excise and the Irish Revenue Commissioners.

The scam is one of the largest Vat carousel frauds in European history.
