The Supreme Court has ordered a Cork businessman to pay up to €1 million to Anglo Irish Bank, following a lengthy legal saga over a development site in Carrigaline.
Liam Madden, a stonemason from Owenabue Grove, Carrigaline, had accused Anglo of attempting to pervert the course of justice by “premeditated, fraudulent misstatement and misrepresentation of the facts'‘, but the Supreme Court rejected the allegations.
