Cork City Council’s Draft Development Plan for Cork City, 2015-2021, will shape the growth of the city both in terms of population and economic activity.

Buggy said the draft plan envisaged a 25 per cent increase in the city’s population to 150,000 before 2022, with the redevelopment of Cork Docklands accommodating much of this growth.

The development blueprint document has also predicted that it could attract 27,000 jobs to the city.
